How To Get The Best Wholesale Liquidation Pallets

If the liquidator you're dealing with is local and has an open warehouse, then chances are you won't have a problem choosing the right pallets. However, if you're purchasing your pallets based on images and descriptions, you need to know how to buy the right merchandise. The reason why some people are apprehensive about buying liquidation pallets is because they're afraid that they'll buy merchandise that will be broken or hard to sell. Therefore, I'm going to give you a few tips to help you decide on which pallets are right for you.

The first tip I can give you is to know exactly what is on the pallet that you're purchasing. You don't want to purchase a pallet that is described as "A Bunch Of Brand Name Electronics From A Major Department Store". A general description isn't good enough if you don't have a lot of money to risk. You need to know exactly which products are on that pallet and in what quantities. You should also know what condition the products are in and whether or not the liquidator can guarantee that nothing is broken. Many liquidators don't guarantee that there aren't broken products so there's always a level of risk involved when buying liquidation. However, most liquidation pallets are priced so low that you can afford to have one or two broken products and still make a nice profit. The second tip I can give you is to choose a category that you know sells well. For example, one the top-selling categories is a pallet filled with various electronics, computers, and gadgets. Electronics has always been one of the top-sellers and you probably won't have a problem finding buyers for these products. One category that you may have problems with is a pallet filled with random clothing items. Since clothing comes in various sizes, you need to make sure that most of the sizes are the ones that will be easier to find a customer for. You don't want to end up with a bunch of men's pants that are size 48 and shirts that are size 4 XL. You also need the brands and designs of clothing that most people will want to buy. Therefore, my suggestion to you is to not deal with clothing unless you know for a fact that you can sell what you're buying. The third tip is to try to purchase liquidation pallets that have brand new merchandise. If you're purchasing pallets filled with customer returns, there's a good chance that there's something broken. Pallets filled with overstocks and closeouts usually have brand new products. The liquidator should be able to tell you what category the liquidation you're purchasing falls in. The fourth tip I can give you is to buy liquidation pallets that haven't been picked through and are straight from the source. The last thing you want is a pallet filled with extremely undesirable or broken products. As always, you can usually figure this out by getting a good description and images of the pallet you want to buy. Ask the liquidator whether or not the pallets have been picked through. Most liquidators will give you an honest answer. The last tip is actually the most important one. Tell the liquidator you're dealing with exactly what kind of merchandise you're looking for and how much you want to pay. Many liquidators will work with you to find the pallets that meet your needs. In fact, some liquidators will keep a lookout for you if they don't currently have what you're looking for. Some will even contact the sources they deal with to see if they have the pallet you want.
